Snow heading back to Vail?

Chris Outcalt
Vail, CO Colorado

VAIL VALLEY ” The best chance for snow in Colorado’s Vail Valley this week is Thursday, according to Jim Daniels, a forecaster with the National Weather Service.

A cold front will move through the area on Thursday, bringing the weather, Daniels said.

“We could see some light precipitation as soon as about sunrise on Thursday,” he said. “Snow will be on the increase throughout the day.”

Snow accumulation should be about 3-5 inches, Daniels said.

The weather could make traveling on Thanksgiving Day difficult, Daniels said.

Another front will bring cooler temperatures and a chance of snow to the area on Friday and Saturday. Daniels said it was too early to know how much snow the weekend storm might bring.
