Snow in Vail’s forecast for Monday, Tuesday

VAIL — A winter storm warning has been issued for areas around Vail above 8,500 feet in elevation.

The warning is in effect from 3 p.m. Monday to 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The National Weather Service is expecting accumulation of 6 to 12 inches.

Joel Gratz of is calling for 3 to 6 inches in the Northern and Central Mountains.
