Snow sneaks back into Vail forecast
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL, Colorado –Rain and snow may continue in Vail this afternoon and tonight, but that’s just a prelude to a winter storm that’s expected Tuesday afternoon, the National Weather Service says.
A more powerful storm should bring rainshowers and thunderstorms into the region Tuesday afternoon. The system will also bring much colder temperatures that will likely produce snow and some accumulation.
The forecast for tonight is rain and snow before midnight and then snow after midnight, with a low temperature of 35.
On Tuesday, there’s a slight chance of rain or snow before noon with a high of 48. No snow accumulation is expected. Snow should continue Tuesday night, when the lows with reach 30. If temperatures dip low enough, areas in Colorado near the Wyoming border could get more than two feet of snow.
Snow should continue Wednesday, when the high will only reach 40. There is a chance of snow each day for the rest of the work week, the National Weather Service says.
