DENVER, Colorado ” Snow and wind are giving way to sunny skies and warmer temperatures from the Front Range to the eastern plains.

A storm moving through Colorado Saturday dumped more than a foot in parts of the mountains and foothills and whipped winds up to 60 mph on the plains. Interstates 70 and 76 were closed east of Denver because of poor visibility.

There were several accidents, but no serious injuries were reported.

The Colorado Department of Transportation said I-76 from Fort Morgan to the Nebraska line was still closed Sunday because of bad weather in Nebraska. And northbound I-25 from Wellington to the Wyoming line was closed due to bad weather in Wyoming.
