Snowboarder found dead at Keystone
DILLON — A 26-year-old snowboarder has been found dead in a stand of trees at Keystone Resort.
Eric Haiar, of Silverthorne, died of blunt force trauma at around 8 a.m. Saturday after losing control on Spring Dipper, an intermediate run at the resort. The Summit County Coroner said in a news release that Haiar collided with a tree. He was declared dead at St. Anthony’s Keystone Medical Clinic.
Haiar, who was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, previously resided in Texas.
