The woman's injuries were serious enough that she was medevaced to the hospital.

A 38-year-old woman was medevaced from Grand Lake Saturday afternoon after sustaining serious injuries while snowmobiling.

At around 2 p.m. Saturday, the woman was snowmobiling in the Porphyry Peak area near Grand Lake when she drove around a fence and over a cliff, falling about 150 feet down, according to Grand County Search and Rescue Field Director Greg Foley.

Foley estimated the cliff was about 30 to 45 degrees.

Search and Rescue was assisted by Grand Lake Fire and Grand County EMS to haul the woman up to the ridge where she was snowmobiled to the North Colorado Med Evac helicopter at around 5:10 p.m., according to Search and Rescue.
