Snowy weekend on tap
Another storm system is approaching Colorado from the West, and snow is in the forecast for the Central Mountains through Monday.
The National Weather Service in Grand Junction reports a 40 percent chance of snow today and tonight, with temperatures no higher than the 20s Fahrenheit.
Sunday, expect mostly cloudy skies and windy conditions, with the chance of snow decreasing to 20 percent during the day. The chance for snow rises to 60 percent, however, on Sunday night.
Snow showers, cold temperatures and breezy conditions should continue through Monday, with a 50 percent chance of snow.
Partly cloudy skies return on Tuesday.
