EAGLE — The Bonfire Brewery ShowDown Town free concert series is heading into its final month with the high-velocity-pop of Sound Travels in Eagle today at 6:30 p.m.
“Bands like Sound Travels are made for performing on summer nights in Colorado,” said Tom Boyd, of the Vail Valley Foundation, which hosts the event. “They create musical landscapes that entrance the audience and provide a beautiful summer concert series atmosphere.”
Fans of ALO, Mike Gordon or Pink Floyd are likely to enjoy the sounds emanating through Eagle Town Park as evening descends. Based out of Nederland, Sound Travels has a strong chemistry that’s apparent in its music.
“The lively performances and summer feels are the perfect combination for families to come out, set up picnics and enjoy the scenery and beer selections,” Boyd said.
The scene at the ShowDown Town concert series in Eagle Town Park is complete with kids’ activities, space for picnics and a beer garden from Bonfire Brewery. The lineup finishes off with John “JoJo” Herman of Widespread Panic on Thursday, Aug. 11, thanks to a special connection Herman has with the folks at Moe’s Original Bar B Que.
