Spa4ThePink partners with Vail’s Sonnenalp for health event

VAIL — Though Spa4ThePink was founded and designed to help cancer patients heal through mindfulness and self-care, the upcoming Reconnect & Heal Weekend Intensive at Sonnenalp Hotel is open to anyone who’d like to learn more about meditation, internal peace and living a lifestyle centered on wellness. Taking place Sept. 6-8, the program will include a workshop with Dr. Lorenzo Cohen, director of integrative medicine at MD Anderson; mediation sessions with spiritual leader and mindfulness teacher Felix Lopez; yoga with Jaya Shri; and individual holistic health coaching sessions with Julie Bach, founder of Spa4The Pink.

“I am excited to share my teacher, Felix Lopez, at this weekend event,” Bach said. “A former Buddhist monk who is a modern, streamlined version of a yogi, Felix reduces complexities of living in the present moment to an effective simplicity within the ordinary grasp. Felix is the weekend guide to help aspiring individuals who really want to learn how to reconnect for healing.”

Another highlight of the weekend will be the workshop led by Cohen. Of interest to both cancer survivors and as well as anyone interested in improving their overall health, Live the Anti-Cancer Lifestyle will teach attendees ways to “stay on the vitality side of wellness” or complement healing.



Attendees will also focus on other elements to help reconnect with their internal wellness. With breath work and meditation sessions with Lopez, group discussions on Discovering the Peace Within and Open Your Heart to Heal, yoga sessions and other healing elements, the Reconnect & Heal Weekend offers the opportunity for guests to commit to their own wellness and healing.

The Spa4ThePink Reconnect & Heal Weekend Intensive will take place Sept. 6-8 at Sonnenalp Hotel. Cost is $660, which includes lodging and entrance to all of the weekend’s programming. An attendance-only rate of $300 is available for locals. For those who are interested in attending just Cohen’s Live the Anti-Cancer Lifestyle workshop, a $25 entry fee is available.
