Spanish-language Alcoholics Anonymous group coming to Vail
VAIL — A meeting of Spanish-language Alcoholics Anonymous chapters from around the Western Slope will meet at Vail’s Evergreen Lodge this weekend.
The event begins Friday, May 26, at 6 p.m. and runs through Sunday, May 28. Public events begin at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 27, and include sessions from psychologists and other speakers — including longtime members — discussing how Alcoholics Anonymous programs work and their benefits to individuals, families and communities. Translation services will be available.
The Spanish-language groups this year are celebrating their 15th year on the Western Slope. There are chapters in Dillon, Eagle-Vail, Gypsum, Glenwood Springs and Carbondale.
