Spots remain for kids’ theater workshop in Beaver Creek
July 15, 2010
BEAVER CREEK – The Beaver Creek Children’s Theatre has a few remaining spots left for kids for a workshop that begins Tuesday.
“We’ve got some open spaces in our children’s theatre workshop coming up next week, July 19 through the 22,” said workshop director Brian Hall, “and it’s more fun with more kids, so we’ve knocked the cost down for this week, to $165 per child.”
For the past 24 years, Beaver Creek Children’s Theatre Company has been offering an opportunity for kids to learn about the world of theatre through their children’s performance workshop series. The kids get a chance to participate in all aspects of theater, all areas of theatrical production and creative dramatics.
“We really enjoy introducing children to the fun and creativity of theater. It’s a lot of fun for us to see their self-confidence grow and to develop friendships with these great kids,” Hall said.
Throughout the four days the kids explore their creativity, create characters, learn about theater and build a show from scratch.
The kids will present their works in a performance to the public alongside the Beaver Creek Children’s Theatre Company on the plaza at Beaver Creek. Remaining sessions this summer are Monday through Thursday and Aug. 3-6. Full-day childcare is available through a partnership with the Beaver Creek Day Camp for an additional fee.
