Spring cleaning in Eagle is May 9

EAGLE, Colorado “-The snow has receded and its time to spiff up the community for the summer months ahead.

Eagle’s annual communitywide spring cleaning is slated May 9.

Trash pick-up crews will begin work at 8:30 a.m. and volunteers should gather at the parking lot behind Angelino Restaurant in Eagle Ranch Village. Participants, who are urged to wear gloves and dress for the weather, will be assigned an area to pick up trash and will be given trash bags and bottled water.

The town’s major traffic areas such as Market Street, Eby Creek Road, U.S. Highway 6, Sylvan Lake Road, Brush Creek Road and the Brush Creek corridor will be the focus of the cleanup with other areas in town added if enough volunteers participate.

After a morning of trash collection, volunteers will be treated to lunch compliments of the town of Eagle and Eagle Ranch Association.

In addition to trash pick up, cleanup day will offer free trash drop-off at Vail Honeywagon Dumpsters that will be placed at the parking lot behind Angelino. Non-hazardous materials can be dropped off at no charge. Organizers request vehicles enter the parking lot off of Gamble Street via Sylvan Lake Road. The Dumpsters will be open until noon.
