Stampede for ski racers
BEAVER CREEK – Ski and Snowboard Club Vail had their second Snow Stampede fundraiser on Nov. 4 at the Vilar Center.
The evening, unlike the elegant Glitter, Gates and Rails, is a family event that draws parents and participants as well. Hosted by Sue Provost and Chuck Wachendorfer, the fun-filled evening, which included music from local bluegrass band, “All Strung Out,” featured food provided by Mountain Catering, beer from Great Divide Brewing Company and wine provided by Applejack Wine & Spirits.Ski and Snowboard Club Vail was founded in 1962, and is currently headed up by Aldo Radamus. The nonprofit organization has produced many ski racers and champions. Many of the athletes participate with the assistance of scholarships. If you would like more information on the organization or would like to enroll a skier or rider in Ski and Snowboard Club Vail, call 476-5119 or visit http://www.skiclubvail.org.
