State patrols are out of control!

Michael Cacioppo

The California Highway Patrol is out of control. Don’t take my word for it. Go online to http://www.ktvu.com/video/4946889/detail.html and watch a KTVU television report on New Orleans. In the report, California’s state patrol – yes, you read it right – forcibly evicted an old woman from inside her dry home in New Orleans. Those of you who still don’t believe that the police state of America is here only need to watch this video. On the video, you can see a “California” patch on the arm of the troopers, who are told by the elderly New Orleans woman that she didn’t want them on her property. She told them that she was not leaving. According to the report, the floodwaters began to recede in New Orleans, yet New Orleans police were ordered by officials to remove residents by force, if necessary. The elderly woman told the officers inside of her home, “You’re going to have to shoot me, because I’m not going. I don’t want you in here. I don’t want you in here, period.” Then, the woman was taken to the floor by the storm troopers, escorted outside of her home, loaded on a military cargo truck, and taken to to the New Orleans airport. The woman had a handgun and a small knife, held almost daintily and upside down, together, in one hand, clearly without her finger on the trigger and clearly not held in a threatening manner. In another video clip, this one by CNN, a New Orleans lawyer is shown telling police officials, “This is America. Has your neighborhood ever been invaded by state troopers from another state, sent here by God knows whom?” The lawyer continued, “I will leave when I am dead, OK. Let them be warned, if they come into my house, they try to evict me, they try to take my guns, there will be gunfire. Treat me with benign neglect. Get out of my neighborhood, get out of my life, get out of my (expletive deleted).” Again, don’t take my word for this. You can view this video at http://www.cnn.com/video/player/player.html?url=/video/us/2005/09/09/simon.katrina.new.orleans.forced.evacuations.cnn. The above two videos clearly demonstrate the cold war that, I believe, is now escalating into a warmer war between what California attorney Peter Mancus describes as a war between collectivists-statists vs. constitutionalists-patriots. In a recent writing, Mancus defines these types of U.S. citizens: — Self-anointed elitists: Those who think they are wiser than the framers of the U.S. Constitution, that it is desirable and prudent to violate the Constitution’s commands, that they should be in power, and that they should enjoy rights that they deny to others. — Statists: Those who champion “big government,” who actively seek to enhance government’s powers and to constrict citizens’ rights and individual liberty, and who often usurp power to achieve their agenda. — Sheeple: Citizens who function as sheep; those who are too docile, too complacent, too uninformed, too willing to go along to get along; they function as enablers in their further destruction of the real constitutional rule of law; they dutifully show up to be shaved of their wool and, at most, they bleat about being reduced to the status of de facto serf, slave and/or piss ant. — Collectivists: Any group (officials, ordinary citizens, or a mixture of same) that advocates collective control over individual rights, and who champion the idea that individual rights, freedom, and liberty must yield to the perceived legitimate demands or needs of “the collective,” to promote the general welfare. — Constitutionalists: Those who believe that the policy positions stated in the U.S. Constitution are wise and legally, the default position, and the default position must be enforced at all cost despite the wishes, urging and demands of anyone else to the contrary. — Patriots: Constitutionalists who are willing to do whatever it takes to restore constitutionalism and who work toward that end, hoping to achieve that end, peacefully, preferably, but willing to resort to force if necessary to achieve that end. Mancus wrote that “sheeple and collectivists are the most numerous. Statists tend to be self-anointed elitists. Constitutionalists tend to be patriots. All patriots, as defined, are constitutionalists. The real battle is not between Democrats, Republicans, independents, Green Party, liberal or conservative, etc. The real battle is sheeple-collectivists-statists vs. constitutionalists-patriots.” Mancus believes that currently, the “sheeple-collectivists-statists enjoy the dominant political advantage in most areas” and that “a state of cold war exists between collectivists-statists vs. constitutionalists-patriots.” You can contact Mancus at pmancus@prodigy.net to inquire about his many writings. One of my favorite Mancus quotes is his comparison of citizens vs. government, which he analyzes as follows: “Who would sign a contract with another person when the contract said that the other person gets to determine what the rules are, gets to change the rules arbitrarily, without being held accountable, gets to unilaterally interpret and apply the rules, and gets to force you to obey his rules, and you must obey his unilateral interpretation of his rules because that is one of his rules? And he has a monopoly on force? Now, who feels free?” So, as defined by Mancus, which type of citizen are you?
