Stavney isn’t partisan
I would like to add my voice to the growing choir endorsing Jon Stavney for county commissioner. We are fortunate to live in a place where we can really get know our candidates. Jon has been very impressive in his thorough, measured approach to his role as mayor of Eagle, managing difficult and emotional issues without rancor, partisanship or pre-determined agendas.
For over four years I have observed him wielding the gavel, stepping up at volunteer events and involving himself in school and community, but not until last year did I learn which side of the aisle he formally identifies himself with. Which, in a place like this, is how it should be ” but often is not.
A small community like ours does not benefit from “us vs. them” partisan battles, but needs leaders who approach important issues with open-mindedness, practicality and wisdom. Jon Stavney has demonstrated that he is such a leader.
