Stolen Cadillac crashes into Grand Junction home
GRAND JUNCTION, Colorado ” A stolen Cadillac crashed into a home over the weekend, startling the sleeping resident but causing no injuries.
Police Sgt. Stan Ancell said a 16-year-old-boy told officers he was driving. Alcohol “definitely” contributed, Ancell said.
The white 1996 Cadillac plowed into Christina Hoagland’s home shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday while she and her dog were asleep in a back bedroom.
She found the empty car in the front of her house, still running and steaming. There was no fire.
Ancell said witnesses reported seeing several teens run from the scene. Later, a 16-year-old boy told officers he was driving, Ancell said.
