A snowstorm dropped more than a foot of snow on mountains across Colorado between Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

The storm coincided with some of the biggest travel days of the year ahead of Thanksgiving, resulting in multiple incidents and closures across Eagle County and the state.

Vail officers responded to 21 stuck or stalled vehicles, as well as 12 motor vehicle crashes, according to Marc Wentworth, director of the Vail Public Safety Communications Center. While an ambulance was dispatched to one, no one was transported.

On Interstate 70 alone, Colorado State Patrol responded to 46 motorist assists and 11 crashes. None of the incidents resulted in an injury, according to Colorado State Patrol.
