Storm-spotter training is Saturday

GYPSUM, Colorado – The National Weather Service is presenting a free storm-spotter training class in Gypsum Saturday.

The session is from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Eagle County Maintenance Service Center, located at 3289 Cooley Mesa Road. The class is in Room 104 of Building B.

The weather service invites anyone who is interested in severe weather to show up for the training. There is no need to register for this class.

Learn how to identify and report significant weather to the National Weather Service, and learn how to accurately measure precipitation. This training will include information on how you can help the NWS in Grand Junction provide better forecasts and warnings.
