Student won’t be prosecuted for Va. Tech comment
BOULDER ” The Boulder County district attorney’s office says it will not prosecute a University of Colorado student over statements he made after the Virginia Tech massacre, provided he stays out of trouble for a year.
The Camera newspaper reported the decision on its Web site Wednesday.
Max Karson was arrested on April 17, a day after the Virginia Tech gunman killed 32 people and himself.
Campus police said the 22-year-old student had alarmed other students by talking in class about how someone could be driven to kill because of injustices at universities.
He was charged with interfering with the staff, faculty and students of an educational institution, a misdemeanor.
