EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado ” College students, graduate students, graduates and working professionals can now apply for a series of Rotary Club scholarships to study abroad.

The scholarships can be used for study in more than 160 counties. Programs in include Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship (up to $23,500), Rotary Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarship (up to $17,000) or a Rotary World Peace Fellowship (up to $60,000).

Ambassadorial Scholarships are for a full year of study at college or university in any foreign country where Rotary clubs are located and include tuition, books, fees, room and board and round trip air fare.

Cultural Ambassadorial Scholarships cover three months of foreign-language study and include tuition and fees, room and board with a host family and round-trip airfare.

World Peace Fellowships are open to graduates who have at least three years of professional experience in a field related to mediation or conflict resolution. Scholars study at one of seven Rotary Centers for International Studies to obtain a two-year Master’s level degree or certificate in international relations, peace and conflict resolution, and related fields.

The scholarships cover tuition, books, fees, room and board and round-trip air fare.

Applicants who are selected will then be scheduled for an interview by the Rotary District 5470 Scholarship Committee the weekend of May 17-18.
