Studio Anjali hosting candlelight yoga class
AVON — Studio Anjali at The Westin Riverfront is hosting two special restorative aerial yoga by candlelight classes on Sunday.
The classes will be offered from 4 to 5:30 p.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Open to all ability levels, this restorative practice focuses on the gentle, calming and therapeutic aspects of aerial poses, where the opening of the poses happens as the body naturally surrenders to gravity. With the assistance of supportive props — such as bolsters, blocks, and the aerial hammock — each posture is held in deep relaxation.
Taught by Studio Anjali Yoga Lead Tanya Miller, this rejuvenating practice will benefit anyone with injuries, high levels of stress, or anyone needing a quiet moment to rest the body and mind. No previous experience in yoga or aerial yoga necessary.
The class is free for Athletic Club members and $20 for non-members. Pre-registration is required, with a 48 hour cancellation policy.
