AVON — Studio Anjali at The Westin is thrilled to host a special spiritual meditation workshop with the renowned Dandapani on Dec. 8 from 9:30 a.m. to noon.

Based on the fundamentals of Raja Yoga, this workshop is simple, highly practical and applicable in everyday life, allowing you to create a sustainable meditation practice. This workshop will dive deep into the study of meditation and the role it plays in our daily life.

On top of a guided meditation, the Spiritual Meditation Workshop will cover:

• How the mind works, including simple yet effective tools to develop concentration.

• An understanding of the nature of the subtle psychic nerves within the spine — the ida and the pingala — and the role they play in our daily lives.

• The 14 chakras — The nature of each and how energy stimulates them.

A Hindu priest, speaker on self-development and an entrepreneur, Dandapani has a unique ability to simplify the understanding of the mind, make spiritual tools applicable in everyday life, create systematic approaches to self development that allows for sustainable change and relate what he teaches to everyday life. Dandapai spent 10 years as a Hindu monk under the guidance of one of Hinduism’s foremost spiritual leaders of our time, Sivaya Subramuniyaswami. Now based in New York City, Dandapani is a much sought after speaker and coach on self-development.
