Summer activity fair in East Vail Sunday
VAIL – The Parent Association at Vail Mountain School is hosting its fifth annual summer activities and camp fair, “SummerStuff,” on Sunday from noon until 4 p.m. at the school’s East Vail campus. Representatives from 18 camps and programs will have information about local, in-state, out-of-state and even overseas summer activities.
The parent association anticipates families from Eagle, Summit, Pitkin and Lake counties will attend. While parents do their research on summer programs, there will be activities for students, including a treasure hunt, face painting, a kite-flying lesson, among others. Attendees are asked to contribute a can of food for a local charity as an “admission” fee. There will also be a bake sale to benefit the fourth grade trip to Crow Canyon.
Local organizations that will be at SummerStuff include Avon Recreation District, The Art Factory, the Betty Ford Alpine Garden, Beaver Creek Kids Camp, Gore Range Natural Science School, Keystone Science Discovery School and the Vail Valley Soccer Club.Other organizations scheduled to attend are Anderson Western Colorado, Broadreach Summer Adventures, Kids Together Camps, Camp Kooch-I-Ching, Camp Lincoln, Camp Lake Hubert, Colvig Silver Camps, Pacific Passages, Moondance Adventures, Navajo Trails Adventure Camp, Rustic Pathways Student Travel, and Sanborn Western Camps.
