Summer begins at Alpine Arts Center in Vail Valley

VAIL, Colorado –Alpine Arts Center in Edwards is offering classes, camps and art excursions for children and adults this summer.

The season begins with a three-day workshop featuring Arizona artist Kathie Neal, Saturday through Monday. Neal has taught workshops around the United States for the past 14 years. The class is $70 for one day, $140 for two days, or $200 for all three days.

“What makes Kathie a great instructor is her ability to teach complete beginners and advanced painters in the same room, and to have everyone leave the class inspired” says Lauren Merrill, owner and director.

Other summer classes include adult beginning ceramics, ladies ceramics, adult drawing, adult painting, a new art-themed book club, teen mural painting, drawing for children, and a variety of themed kids summer camps starting with “Sparkle, Shimmer, and Glitter” and “Water World” during the week of June 8. Throughout the summer, Alpine Arts Center also offers drop-in activities for families, studio use, paint your own pottery, birthday parties, and artwork and art supplies for sale in their gallery.
