Summer parking at Ford Park will be $10
Vail, CO Colorado
VAIL, Colorado – Event parking at Ford Park this summer will cost twice as much as it did last summer.
The Vail Town Council approved the increase after Assistant Town Manager Pam Brandmeyer told members that $10 “is a steal for most event venues these days.”
The town also feels it’s important, Brandmeyer said, because there will be fewer parking spaces there due to the athletic fields expansion, plus the increase will drive people to other choices, she said.
The parking fees at Ford Park were originally designed to be “revenue neutral” for the town. However, it is costing more to manage that parking in the summer than there is revenue. And with a new shuttle system directly servicing Ford Park in the summer, the town needs to recoup some of the cost, she said.
