Summit County, CO Colorado
SUMMIT COUNTY, Colorado ” Jason Milton Owens was arrested after being pulled over by a Summit County Deputy on May 26. He was wanted on a warrant for marijuana distribution.
A search warrant for Owens’ residence turned up cash, two shotguns, four rifles, one revolver, one handgun and a loaded “auto ordnance” rifle.
The warrants resulted from information given to the Summit County Drug Task Force about a “Mr. Jay” who lives at 0993 Straight Creek Drive in Dillon Valley.
The Task Force was told that if an American flag and a Colorado Flag were flying from the deck above his patio, it’s a sign that he is home ” to purchase marijuana, people should knock on the back patio sliding door.
The Drug Task Force performed three undercover buys resulting in 50.8 grams of marijuana and several prescription pills. The sale of drugs was conducted within 1,000 feet of a school. If Owens is convicted, that could lengthen his sentence.
