Superbowl talk

Howdy and welcome to Town Talk, the column that learned during yesterday’s Super Bowl that the only time the world beats a path to your door is if you’re in the bathroom.

Movin’ right into it.

PETA Pryor

It says here Richard “I Ain’t Dead Yet” Pryor has signed on with PETA’s war against Col. Sanders. It seems that PETA, which we’re admonished does NOT stand for People Eating Tasty Animals, has taken issue with the way the Colonel’s chickens expire. According to PETA Director of Vegan Outreach Bruce Friedrich, the chickens don’t seem real happy about it.

First, we’re pleasantly surprised that in This Great Country of Ours someone’s career path has allowed them to get paid to recruit vegans.

We’re even more impressed that PETA counts Pamela Anderson among their other celebrity spokeswomen. We, the Titans of Town Talk, will march in any parade Pamela is leading.

As we’re marching, though, we’re working up an appetite. We think we’ll grab a three piece meal, Original Recipe.

Chicks with sticks Tuesdays

Women’s drop-in ice hockey will move from Mondays to Tuesday. It’s still 9:30 p.m., and it’s still at the Vail Ice Bubble out by the golf course. You can still show up on Monday, but they won’t let you do anything except whine.

Mardi Gras Party

Celebrate winter and put on your party shoes Saturday, Feb. 21, at the fourth annual Mardi Gras Ball at St. Clare of Assisi School. St. Clare and Vail Christian High School sponsor the festive fundraiser each year, and it’s always a sellout. Tickets for the dinner, dance , and auction are $100 per person or $1,200 for a table of 10. All proceeds benefit the two schools in Edwards. To reserve a ticket or a table, call Jennifer at 926-8980.

A real psychological test

While at the funeral of her mother, she met a man whom she did not know. She thought he was amazing, her dream guy, and she fell in love with him but never asked for his number and could not find him after the funeral. A few days later the girl killed her sister.

Question: What is her motive in killing her sister?

Give this some thought.

Answer: She was hoping that the guy would appear at the sister’s funeral.

This was a test a famous American psychologist used to test if one has the same mentality as a killer. Many arrested serial killers took this test and answered it correctly.
