Support for kids
Through their generosity we were able to provide 80 local youth with an opportunity to learn how to take control in a variety of emergency situations.
Avon Recreation Center, Eagle County Ambulance District, Avon Police Department, Vail Police Department, Eagle River Fire Protection District, Vail Fire Department, Greater Eagle Fire Protection District, Vail Communications Center, Eagle County Sheriff’s Office, Colorado State Patrol, Flight For Life, Vail Valley Medical Center and St. Mary’s EMS Outreach Program, Beaver Creek Children’s Theater and Vail Resorts all provided volunteers to host activities, act as group leaders and help support all the numerous tasks it takes to host an event of this size.
Contributions from The EMS Council of Eagle County, Peregrine Press, Booth Creek Ski Holdings, Wendy’s, High Country Shirtworks, Wal-Mart, Vail Resorts, City Market, Village Market, Vail Daily, Foto Finish, Vail Valley Community Television and Venture Sports in merchandise, food and monetary donations made the camp inexpensive to put on and free for the children of our community.
Our goal to provide a safety lesson in a fun camp style setting would not have been achieved without this type of community support for their youth.
