AVON – Avon’s whitewater park is open and the rapids are flowing perfectly for surfing and play time. The Eagle River is currently flowing at approximately 1,080 cfs.

“The Whitewater Park in Avon was designed to run at different water levels for kayakers of all abilities,” said Danita Chirichillo, Avon’s special event supervisor. “From Baby Bob to Bob Senior, the Park will help those just starting to learn freestyle skills as well as test the best of the best.”

The Whitewater Park was constructed in 2006 and modifications and restoration continued through 2007. Due to the recent moisture, the park promises to offer lots of waves throughout the spring and summer.
