Suspect in Denver videotaped robberies arrested

DENVER, Colorado – A juvenile suspected of joining several other people in videotaping a series of robberies and assaults in Denver has been arrested.

Police said Monday that the juvenile, whose name wasn’t released, was arrested in Indiana.

Authorities were still looking for 18-year-old Allen Ford. He is among 35 black men and boys accused of attacking white and Hispanic men in downtown Denver and robbing them.

The suspects allegedly stole wallets, iPods and cash and sold videotapes of the crimes as entertainment. Many of them were arrested in a sweep on Friday.

A task force of Denver police, the FBI and Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey’s office says the suspects have been involved in 26 incidents since July.
