Take your picnic
The second neighborhood picnic in the town of Vail’s annual summer series will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Bighorn Park. Come out and discuss community issues with members of the Vail Town Council and town staff. And be sure to get there early – food will be provided by the town while it lasts. Models neededThe Vail Local Marketing District is looking for fun-loving families to take part in a summer photo shoot July 22 and 23. The shoot will be run by renowned photographer Chase Jarvis.No experience is necessary, everyone keeps their clothes on, and there’s a little money involved.The district needs families, with parents in their 30s and 40s, along with teen or pre-teen kids, couples in their 30s and 40s and avid golfers in their 30s and 40s. A family of four out hiking would be good to have, too.

– The “high honor” for academics.Ashley also was vice president of the school in her senior year. She’ll attend Bates College this fall.Peter Vucich, another senior at Holderness, was named to the honor roll for the last two quarters of the last school year. He also supervised the school’s on-campus student jobs program and was co-captain of the varsity soccer team and the varsity lacrosse team.Peter, the son of Tom and Blondie Vucich of Vail, will attend Union College this fall.Good work, and good luck in the future!..
