AVON, Colorado – German winery Schloss Reinhartshausen will be showcased at vin48 today in Avon as part of the restaurant and wine bar’s weekly tasting series.-
Export Manager Andrea Besslich will pour four of her favorite wines from the German winery,- Schloss Reinhartshausen.
“We decided to start our summer tasting series a few weeks earlier this year due to the beautiful weather,” said Greg Eynon, wine director and owner of vin48. “The Schloss Reinhartshausen white wines are a perfect pair for the early summer grilling going on around the valley.”
Schloss Reinhartshausen (Reinhartshausen Castle) has been identified with production of rare and majestic German Rieslings since 1337. Across the centuries, this magnificent estate on the banks of the Rhine has played a central role in the Rheingau district’s reputation as a source of some of the world’s most transcendent white wines.
Today, with vineyards spreading over more than 80 hectares, Schloss Reinhartshausen is the largest wine estate in private ownership in the Rheingau. Its 15 vineyards count among the most renowned of the region: Marcobrunn, Nussbrunnen and Wisselbrunnen. The Schlossberg as well as the Island of Mariannenaue in the Rhine River are in sole ownership.
Vin48’s chef and owner, Charles Hays, will pair the wines with appetizers on the restaurant’s patio.
