Taste of Vail announces 2008 dates

VAIL ” Taste of Vail, a spring food and wine festival, will celebrate its 18th anniversary next April 2-5 as organizers recently finalized the dates for the 2008 event.
Participants at the Taste of Vail annually experience the cuisine of the Vail Valley’s world-class restaurants, fine wine poured by winemakers and winery owners from top wineries around the globe, along with interactive seminars, auction and dance, apres ski tasting and the popular mountaintop picnic at the top of Vail Mountain.
Each year, Taste of Vail showcases 60 of the finest wineries from throughout the U.S. and the world, along with the cuisine of 30 of the Vail Valley’s top chefs and restaurants. Proceeds from the Taste of Vail are distributed to numerous charities in the Vail Valley.
The 2008 installment of Taste of Vail will officially kick off on April 2. Festival activities include the fourth annual Colorado Lamb Cook-off, contested on the streets of Vail Village; the Apres Ski Tasting and the popular Mountaintop Picnic. The event will culminate on April 5 with the Grand Tasting.
In addition to the four main events, the 2008 Taste of Vail will also be highlighted by an extensive schedule of seminars, demonstrations and showcase dinners, featuring some of the nation’s top chefs.
