Teacher on leave amid allegations of relationship
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado ” Police say no charges will be filed against an English teacher at Colorado Springs’ Wasson High School following an alleged inappropriate relationship with a student.
But School District 11 officials have placed the unnamed teacher on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an investigation.
Parent Daniel Duran says he received a call from the school Wednesday indicating his daughter and a teacher had been questioned amid allegations there had been inappropriate contact between the two. Duran says he checked his cell phone bill and discovered several phone calls between his daughter and the teacher.
Lt. David Whitlock says police have cleared the teacher of criminal wrongdoing.
D-11 spokeswoman Elaine Naleski says the district is investigating.
