Teen arrested in fatal Colorado tire store shooting
MONUMENT, Colorado – An 18-year-old accused of killing a tire store employee during a dispute is being held without bond in El Paso County.
The sheriff’s office says Logan McClelland and his father visited a Big O Tire store in Monument on Monday and got into confrontation with a 50-year-old employee in the store’s parking lot. McClelland is accused of shooting the man several times.
Spokeswoman Lari Sevene says a complaint had been filed against the victim before the altercation but the office isn’t releasing details.
The man’s name isn’t being released but authorities say he was from Monument. McClelland and his father are from Como, a town in South Park.
