Teens caught trespassing at Eagle water tower

EAGLE, Colorado “-agle Police recently were called to the Whiting Road neighborhood on a report of two juveniles trespassing at the town water tank.

According to the police report, when the cops arrived, both male suspects ran away. Officers eventually caught up with the first boy and then called the second youth on his cell phone. Police called the boys’ parents and took them to the Eagle Fire Station to be interviewed.

When questioned, one of the youths admitted to climbing up the water tower where he found some cinder blocks. He threw the blocks to the ground below and then a metal pole, which had been held in place by the blocks, fell to the ground. The youths attempted to replace the pipe, but were unable to fix it. They then fled the area when the police arrived.

The boys could give no reason for their destructive behavior. They were charged with criminal mischief and criminal trespass and released to their parent’s custody.
