Telemark workshop set for Sunday at Beaver Creek

BEAVER CREEK, Colorado – Beaver Creek will host the second kids telemark workshops of the season this Sunday. There will also be a coed workshop Feb. 23.

These workshops provide a social, fun learning environment for telemark skiers of all ability levels and ages. The coed workshops provide an opportunity to develop basic technique or refine skills in a relaxed, supportive and fun learning environment and are geared towards men and women of all abilities. Instructors will be focusing on technique and movement analysis. The kids’ workshops are for ages 6-15 and offer an introduction and beyond to the telemark experience. These workshops provide a full day of free-heeling fun for kids of all ability levels. A kids’ tele rental punch card is also available for $110 and provides five rentals. Reservations are required for both workshops. The cost is $97 lesson only and $159 includes a lift ticket, discounted equipment is also available.

The final coed workshop will be held on March 9 and the last kids’ workshop of the season will be held at the resort March 3.

The Nordic Sports center also offers Tele Tuesdays, which are discounted weekly lessons geared towards beginner and advanced-beginner Telemark skiers, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. every Tuesday. –
