Terrain closures at Vail, Beaver Creek

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – Warm weather and sunny skies have caused portions of terrain at both Vail and Beaver Creek to close.

Spokeswomen at both resorts say conditions are changing daily, so the resorts will “continue to manage terrain accordingly.”

Both resorts are scheduled to close April 15.

As of Thursday, Vail Mountain has 1,316 out of 5,289 acres open, with 21 of 31 lifts open and 100 of 193 runs open. The following lifts and portions of terrain are open at Vail:

• Avanti Express Lift (No. 2)

• Wildwood Express Lift (No. 3

• Mountaintop Express Lift (No. 4)

• Riva Bahn Express Lift (No. 6)

• Game Creek Express Lift (No. 7)

• Born Free Express Lift (No. 8)

• Northwoods Express Lift (No. 11)

• Gopher Hill Lift (No. 12)

• Sourdough Express Lift (No. 14)

• Little Eagle Lift (No. 15)

• Vista Bahn Express Lift (No. 16)

• Eagle Bahn Gondola (No. 19)

• Cascade Village Lift (No. 20)

• Pride Express Lift (No. 26)

Beaver Creek, as of Thursday, has about half of its terrain open with 887 acres out of 1,815. There are 19 of 25 lifts open and 89 of 149 runs open.

The following lifts and portions of terrain are open at Beaver Creek:

• Drink of Water Lift (Lift No. 5)
