Terry M. Brennan, 1946-2008, longtime Vail resident

Terry M. Brennan, who moved to Vail, Colorado in the 1960s, passed away Sunday morning.

He was born Aug. 1, 1946, in Springfield, Mass. He grew up in Germany, China and around the U.S. He wrestled and played football for Auburn University.

He came to Vail in 1969. He was a chef at Purcell’s and Mulligan’ restaurants. He and his late wife, Cindy, started Brennan Landscaping in the 1970s.

He and Cindy were freestyle skiers and traveled around the U.S. to promote events, such as Evel Knievel’s Snake River jump.

He is survived by his children, Laura and Bryan.

There will be a wake at 3 p.m., Friday at the Red Lion in Vail. There will be a silent auction to raise money for the Brennan family.
