Teva to sponsor Mountain Games five more years

The Teva Mountain Games will keep its title sponsor for at least another five years.

Untraditional Marketing, which owns the early June festival of kayaking, mountain biking and other outdoor sports, announced this week that Teva had signed a contract to maintain is title sponsor’s role. Teva has been the title sponsor of the festival through its first six years. which has been a key partner in the first six years of the Mountain Games.

SoBe, Bear Naked Trail Mix and Pabst Blue Ribbon are other corporate sponsors for 2008 Mountain Games.

The Teva Mountain Games will take place from June 5 ” 8 in Vail. The event will host 2,500 professional and amateur outdoor athletes from all over the world. This year’s disciplines include kayaking, rafting, mountain biking, road cycling, World Cup and amateur climbing, paragliding, fly-fishing, trail running, diving dogs and multi-sport racing. An estimated 1.4 million people will tune into the Teva Mountain Games on TV. “The Teva Mountain Games continues to provide an authentic platform for both amateur and professional athletes to compete alongside each other,” said Joel Heath, President of Untraditional Marketing. “This long-term alliance with Teva ensures the success of this adventure event for years to come. I look forward to what we will do together in the next half of our decade together.”

In addition to the adventure sports, the Mountain Games features a lunar scene which highlights night time activities, concerts in the Mud Village, Mountain Click ” an adventure photography competition ” and the Teva Mountain Ball.
