Texas governor was at Koch meeting in Vail Valley

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who is considering a run for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination, was among the guests at the weekend Vail Valley conclave held by the Koch brothers, according to the Austin American-Statesman.

Perry spoke at the meeting Sunday, the newspaper said.

The event was a semi-annual, invitation-only retreat for rich conservations and prominent Republican politicians hosted by conservative political donors Charles and David Koch.

Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell also said he would attend this year’s retreat. The rest of the guest list has been kept private.
