Texas man’s death ruled a suicide

VAIL, Colorado ” The death of a Texas man in Vail, Colorado who went missing in Vail over New Year’s was officially ruled a suicide, according to autopsy reports.

Bradley Tubbs, 50, died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, said Eagle County Coroner Kara Bettis.

Tubbs, who had come to Vail on Dec. 9 and was staying at a local hotel, had been missing since Jan. 1. Vail Police found Tubbs in his black Chevrolet Tahoe at a construction site in Avon last Saturday.

His family said he had come to Vail to see if he wanted to live here and planned on staying for about three months. After he went missing, Tubbs’ brother-in-law and nephew came to Vail and posted signs town in an attempt to locate the missing man.
