The Black Crowes will take the stage for the first time at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail on Sept. 13.

The Black Crowes made themselves known with the band’s debut studio album, “Shake Your Money Maker” in 1990. Shortly after, “Rolling Stone” named them the Best New American Band. The band has had its ups and downs with breakups and reunions and reformed in 2019 and came out with its tenth album, “Happiness Bastards” in 2024.

While the band has never played at The Amp, the founding members of the Black Crowes, brothers Chris and Rich Robinson, performed an acoustic set as the duo, Brothers of a Feather, as a part of Mountains of Music during the GoPro Mountain Games in 2023. The Black Crowes played a sold-out show at the Vilar Performing Arts Center in Beaver Creek in 2009.
