Where are you headed this fall: Accepted and deferred from Colorado State University to travel this next year.

If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: I will miss the snow and the fall colors.

In 10 years you’ll be: Hopefully still traveling but also working in advertising.

In 10 years you’ll be: Working at Pixar

Favorite class you took: AP art

Class you wish had been offered: Wood shop

David Schiff Stearns

Favorite school moment from any year: My favorite moment was senior year when the alpine boys ski team went to Aspen and repeated as Colorado State Champions. The girls’ team also did great, coming in second and BMHS dominated the awards night.

Give a shout out: Ski team – send medium features large forever! VMS Boys Tennis – always take your pictures in auto mode. And to Momma Stearns for doing her best to remain incognito while I was in school here.

Summer plans: I’ll be teaching tennis at Homestead and working odd jobs. Hiking, biking, and hanging out with friends in the downtime.

Where are you headed this fall: The School of Engineering at CU-Boulder. Go Buffs!

If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: I’ll miss the cookie people at Beaver Creek and the mastery every tourist shows when it comes to driving through traffic circles. Fortunately, I’ll be able to get my cookie fix and witness the driving ritual when home from school.

In 10 years you’ll be: In 10 years I’ll be doing something meaningful that I love, still finding fresh pow in Stone Creek Chutes, and watching season 4 of a Game of Thrones spin-off.

Favorite class you took: My favorite classes were DE College Biology and AP Physics. But it’s the cookies I learned to make in Foods.

Class you wish had been offered: I really would’ve enjoyed something with designing and building things, like wood shop.

Favorite school moment from any year: Freshman Homecoming football game

Give a shout out: First of all, thanks to God, I’ve gained perseverance and motivation to reach my goals. Thank you to the teachers and staff who either took the time to personally get to know me, left a positive impact in my life, and/or recognized my hard work.

Summer plans: Visiting family in Mexico, taking a children’s ministry course in Houston, and working to save up for college!

Where are you headed this fall: University of Colorado-Colorado Springs (UCCS) to double major in Nursing and Health Sciences

If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: The beautiful mountains, and how much snowfall we get during the winter.

In 10 years you’ll be: Blessed, traveling the world, and enjoying my career

Favorite class you took: Digital Photography and Digital Design

Class you wish had been offered: More language options such as Japanese or Korean.

Favorite school moment from any year: Dressing up as the Avengers at school for Halloween with my best friends.

Give a shout out: Thanks Mom and Dad for encouraging me to branch out and be my own person and Dylan for being the one that I can look up to. Thanks to my friends for being there every step of the way.

Summer plans: Working and spending as much time as possible with my family and friends.

Give a shout out: Beth Raitt for being a great coach and even better friend, and my true friends for staying by side (you know who you are).

Summer plans: To spend time with my friends and family.

Where are you headed this fall: Colorado State University where I will be studying neuroscience.

In 10 years you’ll be: Loving what I’m doing and being content with everything I have.

Class you wish had been offered: A class on how to handle real live, like how to do taxes and cook.

Favorite moment or memory from any school year: The 9th grade class trip to Costa Rica.

Summer Plans: In early June, I will be traveling to Scotland with family and then I plan to spend the rest of my summer enjoying the Vail Valley.

Where are you headed this fall: I will be attending the University of Denver next fall.

What will you miss most about Eagle County: Being close to the mountains and an amazing community that has helped me grow into who I am today.

In 10 years you’ll be: Doing something I am passionate about and taking advantage of everything life has to offer.

Favorite class you took at VMS: Mr. Compton’s Calculus AB class junior year.
