Favorite school moment from any year: I loved going paintballing at the beginning of the school year!

Give a shout out: Shout out to my parents, teachers, and Jose, because without their support I wouldn’t be graduating.

Summer plans: I plan to travel and camp a lot. I’d like to enjoy my last summer before college.

Where are you headed this fall: I am staying in town and pursuing my associates at CMC.

If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: If I would leave I would miss the ice cream from Marble Slab the most.

If you’re staying, what are you happiest about keeping: My ice cream from marble slab.

In 10 years you’ll be: Educated with a family and home, and hopefully with a business degree.

Favorite class you took: My favorite class was horror with Mrs. Qualman.

Class you wish had been offered: Every single class I had was amazing and I don’t believe I would ask for anything else.

Favorite school moment from any year: Going into high school and being ready for the next part in my life, and now I’m graduating.

Summer plans: I plan on working as hard as possible to get more experience under my belt.

Where are you headed this fall: Working in the valley and taking CMC classes.

If you’re staying, what are you happiest about keeping: I’m happiest about keeping the mountains and snow around me.

In 10 years you’ll be: I still have to figure it out.

Favorite class you took: Architecture class with Mr. Lou from Battle Mountain

Class you wish had been offered: I wish they had not taken away shop class because I never got a chance to take that class, even though I’ve always wanted to.

If you’re staying, what are you happiest about keeping: Everything because I practically lived my whole life here

In 10 years you’ll be: Hopefully have my career in nursing

Favorite class you took: Hiking, Japanese mythology, gym, scream, and a lot of others I can’t remember

Favorite school moment from any year: The one favorite school moment I had was in year 2015 when we got our first music class.

Summer plans: Make music, patent my logo and finish building my studio.

Where are you headed this fall: CMC

If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: When I do leave Eagle County will miss quite a lot. One thing I’ll miss for sure is my friends and family. Another is the beauty this valley holds, and the jobs they would provide us.

In 10 years you’ll be: In 10 years I see myself being my own boss, running my own music record label and being successful.

Favorite class you took: There were two favorite classes I had this year and they were Math 3 and Social Science.

Class you wish had been offered: I wish I could have been offered a photography/design class.

Favorite school moment from any year: My senior year has been great because I liked how I got along with everyone in this school, my teachers were so nice and always helping me.

Give a shout out: Thank you to all the teachers from Red Canyon who always were there to motivate me to keep working hard each time and made me accomplish my biggest goal in life.

Summer plans: I am starting Beauty School.

Where are you headed this fall: Beauty School

If you’re staying, what are you happiest about keeping. I am going to see my family all the time.

In 10 years you’ll be: I will be a cosmetologist with my own business.

Favorite class you took: My Favorite class was P.E with Ms. Madison. I loved her class because she was always with a positive attitude and she always taught us new things.

Class you wish had been offered: I wish I had a class with Ms. Crevling. She is such a sweetheart and she was always nice to me

Favorite school moment from any year: My favorite school year is my senior year. I worked so hard and am so excited to start my Dental Assisting classes. My favorite part about this year is graduation.

Give a shout out: I would like to thank Ms. Kedrowski and Ms. Madison for always encouraging me to learn more and work hard you pushed me a lot and told me not to give up. Thank you.

Summer plans: My summer plans are to go to college for Dental Assistant

Where are you headed this fall: I am not planning on going anywhere. I love Colorado and would like to stay here.

If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: I would miss the mountains and all the beautiful views. I would miss friends and family this valley makes me feel at home.

In 10 years where will you’ll be: In 10 years I believe I would be finishing my dental assistant times and hopefully moving up to bigger and better things.

Favorite school moments from any year: My favorite moments were always spent at school events, whether that be sports or academic performances.

Give a shout out: Shout out to anyone who was here with me and supported me throughout my years in school.

Summer plans: I plan to find myself a good paying job and work full-time to save up for college. I also plan to enjoy this summer with my friends knowing that we may not all be together coming this fall.

Where are you headed this fall: I plan to stay here in Eagle County for the fall. Within the next year however I could see myself leaving or moving somewhere else in state.

If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: If I were to leave Eagle County I would mostly miss the people and friends that I met while living here.

If you’re staying, what are you happiest about keeping: Since I am staying I am honestly happy just to be here. Eagle, is such a scenic and beautiful place and it sit in a perfect central area that allows me to go travel and do things that make my time here so special.

In 10 years you’ll be: 10 years is far away and it’s hard to say what me, or anyone will be doing in that time. But to cut it down I just hope to find myself with a job that I love living the life that I would like to live.

Favorite class you took: One of my favorite classes would have to be weight lifting. This class really pushed me to become the person I am today. It gave me motivation to do my very best with anything I do no matter what the world around me kept saying.

Class you wish had been offered: I honestly wish that the schools offered teacher-taught languages other than Spanish. Being taught a language online is a struggle and even though we live in a world where Spanish is a language we should all know, I believe there is more of a learning and concentration when kids can open up to more than one foreign concept.

Favorite class you took: My favorite class was Physical Education and Hiking. This was the best class ever. It challenged me physically and mentally and the aesthetic appreciation was out of this world.

Class you wish had been offered: I liked all my classes and had everything I wanted.

Adrian Favela

Red Canyon High school

Favorite school moment from any year: Favorite moment was attending senior prom and being able to dance and have fun with all my friends and classmates, before we left High School for good.

Give a shout out: I would like to thank all the teachers and people who constantly pushed and motivated us to reach new heights and become a part of who we are today.

Summer plans: My summer plan is to work a full time job and save all the money I make so I can start investing in things that will benefit me down the road.

Where are you headed this fall: This fall I am headed to Colorado Mountain College to receive my basics, and then grow and develop from there.

If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: What I will miss most is the scenery and the feeling of home because Eagle County has been my home since I was a kid.

If you’re staying, what are you happiest about keeping: I am happiest about staying close to friends and people that I have built relationships with.

In 10 years you’ll be: In 10 years I will be settled into a career that I love hopefully begin settling into my new lifestyle.

Favorite class you took: My favorite class was English because I love studying literature and the art of expressing yourself.

Class you wish had been offered: I wish I had been offered lifestyle skills and techniques, a class where we would learn about life skills such as social interaction and ways to better prepare us for life.

Abi Jared Gutierrez

Favorite school moment from any year: My favorite school moment was when Mr. Hill took us paintballing. It was awesome getting to see teachers and students battle each other in the field. I had a blast that day!

Give a shout out: Shout out to my family for always believing I could graduate, even when I doubted myself . Without their support I wouldn’t have graduated. Also a special shout out to all the Red Canyon teachers. Thank you for always being so helpful and understanding.

Summer plans: My summer plans are first to have some free time at last to relax! Second work all summer to pay for college.

Where are you headed this fall: In fall my wish would be to start my freshman year at CMC.

If you’re leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: If I would ever leave this valley I would miss Red Canyon and the beautiful nature that surrounds the eagle valley.

If you’re staying, what are you happiest about keeping: What I like most about staying is that I know I have a family in RCHS that I know can help me if i ever need help and the great memories I have made in this valley.

In 10 years you’ll be: In 10 years a see myself as a business graduate with a great job living the rich life that I’m going to work hard for.

Favorite class you took: My favorite class was Cartels with Ms. Grimmer. We got to listen to music, and I learned about my culture in a way I had never been taught. It was interesting to learn how cartels in Mexico work.

Class you wish had been offered: Although I took many classes, if I would’ve had music production I would have been very happy. Although the career I’m pursuing is business, my heart belongs to music and I wish I could have had that class.

Big snow expected to dump on Vail Valley through the weekend

Snow usually comes and goes in this part of the state. A forecasted storm is expected to stick around for a while. Forecasters are calling for snow to persist throughout the weekend in the high country, with a prospect of a couple of feet of powder by the time the storm starts to diminish on Monday.
