Battle Mountain High School
Favorite moment from any school year: I love playing sports, so being part of the basketball and volleyball teams will be some of my favorite memories from high school. One event from volleyball that I will never forget was going to the state championship tournament my junior year.
Give a shout out: I want to thank my best friends, The Dreamers, for making my senior year so memorable.
Summer plans: I am going to hang out with my friends as much as possible this summer before we all head our different directions. I will also be at the Uptown Store in Minturn.
Where are you headed this fall: I’m attending University of Colorado-Boulder. Ski Buffs!
If you are leaving Eagle County, what will you miss most: I will miss the familiarity of everything. I will also miss my family, friends and dog, Kenya.
In 10 years you’ll be: Hopefully, I will be successful in whatever I end up pursuing, but I most importantly want to be happy however that may be.
Favorite class you took: AP Biology. This class taught me how to work hard. While I was taking it, the work seemed overwhelming and I occasionally regretted taking the class, but Mr. Caudill is the best teacher I ever had. This class wasn’t my favorite because if what I learned, but because he was the teacher.
Class you wish had been offered: Current events.
Heroes look like these guys: Bill “Sarge” Brown, Bob Parker, Pete Seibert, Sandy Treat, Dick Over, Hugh Evans and so many others from the 10th Mountain Division who helped win World War II and, while building the peace, also built the ski industry in the United States.
