The Eagle hosts its tsunami fund-raiser today

AVON – KTUN-FM “The Eagle” is hosting a fund-raiser for the victims of the Tsunami disaster on Friday, Jan. 14. This will be an all-day event on the station, which can be found at 95.3 and 101.7 in Eagle County, 97.5 in Summit County, 96.7 in Leadville and 98.3 FM in Glenwood Springs. “Our goal is to raise as much money as we can for the Red Cross relief efforts while making our listeners aware that they can make a contribution through our efforts,” said Brian Wilder, program director. “We plan to gather products, services and cash donations from businesses and individuals in order to auction off these valuable packages to generate cash – the most requested donation from the Red Cross.” Any donations received are 100 percent tax deductible and all will be applied to the fund for the Red Cross.There are many different prize packages for the event, including “Take a Peak at Beaver Creek,” which includes golf, Vilar Center tickets and passes to the Winter Culinary Classic for four. There are also tickets to see Sting this spring in Denver and Lynyrd Skynyrd at Rock Jam this summer as well as a Coors Mountain Pass, which includes lift passes for all 23 of Colorado’s ski resorts. The auction will also include a trip for two with airfare and an autographed framed print from artist Steve Winwood.
