The Minturn Dialogues
Open to All Citizens and Business Owners of Minturn
Dialogue is a practice of listening and speaking while valuing questions over answers, and meaning over ideas, and agreement. The principles of Openess, Respect, Authenticity, Inclusion, and Thoughtfulness come to the forefront.
Dialogue is a conversation among equals seated in a circle speaking one at a time without being interrupted. We suspend the need to decide or to convince in dialogue, allowing for a freer exploration in an atmosphere of greater trust. The outcome is Understanding.
Communities that have practiced dialogue have found that future decision making processes are more intelligent, respectful efficient and satisfying, due to the trust and wisdom gained in the dialogue practice.
