The miracle letter
Because we live in a tired and troubled world full of unexpected trials, I had to share something awesome with you. It is a letter from your Father – and mine, too. If you’re like me (my father passed away years ago), you are probably thinking I am crazy. I’m not. I am speaking of our Heavenly Father, Abba, the Lord. We need to be cheered on in the middle of such uncertainty, and God the Father has some words of encouragement for us. Read with me what he wants you to know, from God’s heart to yours:”Dear , you were not a mistake. All your days are written in my book, and I determined the exact time of your birth and where you live. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, I know that full well. I am the one who knit you together in your mother’s womb, and I brought you forth on the day you were born. You were made in my image; in me you live, move and have your being.”I have been misrepresented by those who don’t know me; I’m not distant and angry, but I am the complete expression of love. For I am the perfect Father, and every good gift comes from my hand. I have been and always am your provider; I will meet all your needs. My plan for your future has always been filled with hope because I love you with an everlasting love! My thoughts toward you are countless as the sands on the seashore. I love to rejoice over you with singing, and I will never stop doing good to you. You are my treasured possession; I desire to establish you with all my heart and with all my soul.”I want to show you great and marvelous things. If you will only seek me with all your heart, you will find me! Delight in me, and I’ll give you the desires of your heart, for I gave you those desires. And I am able to do far more for you than you could possibly imagine! I am your greatest encourager, the Father who comforts you in all your troubles. When you are brokenhearted, I am close to you; as a shepherd carries a lamb, I’ve carried you close to my heart. One day I will wipe every tear from your eyes; remember, I love you as my child. For in Jesus my love for you is revealed; he is the exact representation of my being. Jesus came to demonstrate that I am for you, not against you. He came to tell you that I am NOT counting your sins against you. Jesus died for you so that you and I could be reconciled, and his death was the ultimate expression of my love for you. I gave up everything I loved that I might gain your love.”If you receive the gift of my son, Jesus, you receive me! And nothing will separate you from my love ever again! Come home to me, and I will throw the biggest party heaven has ever seen! For I have always been Father and will always be your Father. I am waiting for you.”*Love,Your Father*Psalm 139, Genesis 1:27, John 8:41-44, I John 1:3, Matthew 5:48, James 1:17, Matt. 6:31-33, Jeremiah 29:11, Jeremiah 31:3, Psalm 139, Zephaniah 3:17, Jeremiah 32:40-41, Jeremiah 33:3, Deut. 4:29, Psalm 37:4, Phil. 2:13, Ephesians 3:20, II Thess. 2:16-17, II Cor. 1:3, Psalm 34:18, Isaiah 40:11, Rev. 21:3-4, John 17:23, 26, Hebrews 1:3, Romans 8:31, II Cor, 5:18-19, I John 4:10, Romans 8:32, I John 2:23, Romans 8:38-39, Luke 15:7, Ephesians 3:14-15, Luke 15:11-12.It’s astounding and outrageous, isn’t it? Still, these truths are right on target for each one of us today. Our Father, God Almighty, really does love you. With the Lord as our strength and refuge, we can actually be hopeful in times of trouble and confusion. The truth is, God is alive, well and reaching out to you; believe that he designed his love just for you – just as you are.Gary Wingo leads the Seekers Fellowship, currently on a seasonal break.Vail, Colorado
