VAIL ” Running every Tuesday night from June 19-Aug. 21 (except Aug. 7) at the Ford Amphitheater, the Hot Summer Nights free concert series celebrates its 20th anniversary with a lineup of diverse and exceptional bands.
Reggae legends The Wailers kick off the season on June 19, bringing their roots-rock sound to the stage in Vail. Other season highlights include country great Steve Azar, blues legend John Lee Hooker Jr., Celtic rockers The Town Pants and a special July 31 performance, in conjunction with the Vail International Dance Festival, featuring hip hop dancers Break! The season wraps up on Aug. 21 with a performance by the audacious, critically acclaimed tribute band Lez Zeppelin.
Doors to the amphitheater open at 5:30 p.m., with the shows beginning at 6:30 p.m. Concerts are held rain or shine. Hot Summer Nights is a project of the Vail Valley Foundation. For more information, call 949.1999 or visit vvf.org.
